What is ceramic coating and how does it protect my paint?
It is a liquid coating that bonds to your clear coat and cures into a hard, slick layer. That layer takes the hit from UV, bird droppings, tree sap, road salt and grime instead of your paint, and water and dirt slide off it, so the car stays cleaner and is far easier to wash.
How long does a professional ceramic coating last?
It depends on the coating you choose. We install Nasiol 5 year and 10 year coatings, and Revivify Self Heal Ultra, which is rated for 5 years. Regular hand washing with a pH neutral soap keeps it performing for its full rating.
Is ceramic coating worth it over wax or sealant?
For most drivers, yes. Wax lasts a few weeks and a sealant a few months. A coating lasts years, holds up better against chemicals and UV, and keeps the gloss looking fresh without constant reapplying, so it usually works out cheaper and far less work over time.
Does ceramic coating prevent scratches, rock chips or swirl marks?
It makes the paint more resistant to light wash marring and much easier to keep swirl free, but it is not armour. Rock chips and deeper scratches can still happen. Revivify Self Heal Ultra goes a step further, as light swirls fade with heat from the sun or warm water.
Do I need paint correction before a ceramic coating?
Yes, and it is already included. A coating seals in whatever is under it, so every package comes with a Stage 1 paint correction to remove light swirls first. If your paint has heavier defects, you can upgrade the correction when you book.
Where is your ceramic coating shop in Surrey?
Our shop is at 17308 48 Ave in Surrey. All coating work is done there by appointment, so you always have a set drop off time.
Which ceramic coating package should I choose?
The Nasiol 5 Year ($999 car) is great value for most drivers. The Nasiol 10 Year ($1,499) suits people keeping the vehicle long term. Revivify Self Heal Ultra ($1,999) is our top coating: light swirls from washing fade away with heat, so the paint keeps looking freshly corrected.
Can you coat a used car with swirls and scratches?
Yes. Every package includes a Stage 1 paint correction. If the paint has heavier swirls or scratches, a paint correction upgrade ($400 to $1,000) brings it back before the coating goes on.
How do I look after my coating?
Regular gentle hand washes keep it performing. We go over exactly what to do and what to avoid when you pick up your vehicle, and our mobile team can maintain it for you at home.
Does ceramic coating stop rock chips?
No coating stops rock chips completely. A coating adds a hard, slick layer that resists light scratches, chemicals, UV and grime, and makes washing much easier, but it is not a replacement for paint protection film on high impact areas.
What else can I coat?
Add-ons include door jambs ($350), wheels off with faces, barrels and calipers coated ($350), and a 2 year interior ceramic coating for seats, plastics and fabrics ($300).
